Enjoy a mash-up of music, mystery, and mausoleum stories during this free evening walking tour of The Kensico Cemetery grounds.

Attendees will hear captivating stories about artists, world-renowned architects, swindlers, a muckraker whose reputation cost him his life, and visit the resting place of a man who forever changed the world of sandwiches.

Tours also point out one-of-a-kind mausoleums and statuary that contribute to Kensico’s unique landscape.

The tour guide is Patrick Raftery, Associate Director/Librarian; Westchester County Historical Society, and a board member of The Friends of Kensico, Inc.

Participants should wear comfortable shoes. Restrooms are open in the Administration Building at start and end of all tours. Bottled water will be available

Donations are appreciated and can be made via check to Friends of The Kensico Cemetery, Inc.

Details and Directions: Tour attendees should go to the Kensico Cemetery Administration Building where cars will be led to the starting point on the Kensico grounds. Look for the event directional signs, and staff will be on hand for check-in.

Restrooms at the Administration Building are open before the tour begins. We will have bottled water available, and we recommend comfortable walking shoes.

Friends of The Kensico Cemetery, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed to promote and advance the welfare of The Kensico Cemetery through historical preservation and education.
