Enjoy a mash-up of music, mystery, and mausoleum stories during this free evening walking tour of The Kensico Cemetery grounds.
Highlights include a baseball legend and his boss; two inventors; a movie theatre mogul; a World’s Fair mystery; a controversial circus connection, a scandalous scofflaw, a Sentimental Gentleman, a Broadway angel, and one good witch.
Tours also point out one-of-a-kind mausoleums and statues that contribute to Kensico’s unique landscape.
The tour guide is Patrick Raftery, Associate Director/Librarian; Westchester County Historical Society, and a board member of The Friends of Kensico, Inc.
The tours are free, but reservations are required via the RSVP feature below.

Details and Directions: Tour attendees should go to the Kensico Cemetery Administration Building where cars will be led to the starting point on the Kensico grounds. Look for the event directional signs, and staff will be on hand for check-in.
Restrooms at the Administration Building are open before the tour begins. we will have bottled water available, and we recommend comfortable walking shoes.

This walking tour covers hilly, grassy, and uneven terrain and may be difficult to navigate (not ADA accessible or suitable for children under 10). There are no restrooms or seating along the route, early departures are not possible except for emergencies.
